What people come in for
Six places the body keeps score
This is why people book, not what we promise. Each of them can have many causes, and your doctor is the one to name them.
Low back
Stiffness after sitting for hours, soreness after lifting, an ache that comes and goes with the weather.
Neck and shoulders
Tight shoulders by afternoon, a neck that will not turn easily, a bag strap that never feels right.
Wrists and hands
Aching forearms from the keyboard or the mouse, tired hands from tools, thumbs that complain at the end of the day.
Hips and knees
Hips that stiffen in the car, knees that protest on stairs and hills, an old injury that flares in cold weather.
Head and jaw
Headaches that begin at the base of the skull, a jaw that clenches while you work or sleep.
Feet and ankles
Sore arches after long shifts, ankles that never quite recovered from a sprain.
What acupuncture does not do
Acupuncture does not fix a workstation, rebuild a worn joint, reverse arthritis or mend a torn tendon. It does not replace imaging, physical therapy or surgery when your doctor recommends them, and it does not replace your medicines.
We cannot promise that a visit will change anything, and results vary from person to person. What we can promise is an unhurried hour, clear explanations and a plan you can say no to.
When to see a doctor instead
See your doctor or an urgent care clinic first for chest pain, trouble breathing, sudden weakness or numbness, a sudden severe headache, new trouble controlling your bladder or bowels, or a fever with a stiff neck. In an emergency, call 911.
